Empowered by her own birth experience, and wanting to make a difference for other women, Emeline pursued a M.A. in Social Policy with a focus on women’s health while completing required prerequisites for midwifery school. In 2014, she completed her Master of Science in Midwifery from Philadelphia University (now The Midwifery Institute at Jefferson). Emeline worked as a midwife for 4 1/2 years in a traditional medical setting at SUNY Upstate and Cayuga Medical Center. A graduate of Stony Brook University’s midwifery program, Haley brings a unique blend of hospital and community-based experience to her practice. Before becoming a midwife in 2024, she worked for years as both a nurse in gyn and ob care and a community based birth assistant. At Meraki Midwifery, Haley supports clients through the full spectrum of reproductive health, including prenatal and postpartum care, gynecology, birth control, fertility support, and miscarriage management. She believes in building relationships with her clients and creating a care experience that is respectful, collaborative, and empowering. When not catching babies, Haley is a dedicated mom to two incredible daughters, a proud plant mom (with over 300 houseplants at one point!), and a collector of ginger-haired pets.
